15th Birthday of MYETV

The 1st of July 2023 it’s the 15th birthday of MYETV and we have made one of the most update ever, since we were unable to organize a global event for this recurring anniversary (the next will be the 20 years celebration), we decided to update the platform-[Platform]: [the the set of the main domain and all the subdomain of a particular website; also the computer architecture and equipment using a particular operating system] and bring you some news as we do every year in this period with a lot of updates… This has gotten a bit out of hand and we have really worked hard to bring you what is revealed to be one of the best updates of the platform of MYETV. We can start talking about the translation into 25 different languages up to the new X accounts, a new advertising platform and also the recordings of live streaming-[Live Streaming]: [a live audio/video stream]; and many, many more updates. We have some for everyone!! Let’s start by listing them all:

  • One new colored theme will be ready for the 1 July 2023 to celebrate our 15 birthday
    • Theme info: … the new theme is called “GoldenEmerald” and it’s formed by the goldenrod colors and emerald green; this new theme will be the default for everyone, for 24 hours, from the 15:00 of the 15 July 2023. Read all themes here
    • The selection of the colored themes is improved with a description of the colors, above the name of the theme
  • The 1st July 2023 we will present to you a new entry that will replace the current “special accounts-[Special Accounts]: [an account with elevated privileges and/or access to special sections]” page with the new option to buy the account-[Account]: [an Account contains the personal information that is assigned to those who register and access with email and password] subscriptions directly with a real value (Euro) and PayPal: https://www.myetv.tv/x
  • Added the cancel subscription to return to a free account in every moment (only the role “administrator” of the account can view it)
  • We also present the new platform at store.myetv.tv that will replace the old platform adplatform.myetv.tv with improvements and new features, like a new dedicated area for advertisement inside the MYETV platform
  • Privacy, please: we’ve focused on update privacy features and added new option to hide any contents-[Contents]: [every content intended as text, images, audio or video] from the homepage; in addition, all contents aimed at an adult audience (+18 pegi restriction) will only be visible on the homepage of the content-[Contents]: [every content intended as text, images, audio or video] networks
  • Divided the URL from the nickname (from today the customized URL of an account can be different from the nickname)
  • Added the WYSIWYG inside the platform for description of contents and for private messages
  • Added the possibility of post textual contents with a rich text editor in the sharer-[Sharer]: [the section of the platform with which the networks can share content, inside or outside of the platform] page
  • Builded an improved UX with improved top menu, imrpoved menus for contents and new menu for networks of contents; improved the real-time notifications section now at the bottom-right of the page will appear only the number of the total new notifications in real time (no more one notify for every notifications), the main menu at the left contains all the details in the “communications” section.
  • Improved the way notifications are distributed: from now on all notifications for new content, sent to network-[Network of Contents]: [is the channel in which owners can post their content and the audience can see the contents posted by the owners] followers-[Follower]: [a follower refers to a person who subscribes to your account or network in order to receive your updates], are distributed every half hour and no longer in real-time. This allows for an improvement in load management.
  • A new Insights/Statistics dedicated page for all network owners-[Network Owner]: [the owner(s) of the referenced network of contents (or Network)] with a lot of new features and a detailed statistics for evere contents and also for the whole network
  • “Manage My Networks”, “My Chronology” and “My Activities” are now improved with new features
  • The platform is translated in almost 25 languages and with a new translation system is builded with A.I. to help translators around the World to better focus on the supervisioning the translations
  • A new permission and roles system has been implemented for the networks of contents with a lot of improvements; networks can now add new roles (for example: supervisor) and give them customized permissions (for example: edit/delete contents) and assign them to another account, to make the network more collaborative.
  • A new “General Calendar” and “Network Calendar” are availabe for everyone with a button at the top of the timeline to offer a new view for the contents
  • Now the scheduled contents can be viewed in the play page as a preview
  • MYCLOUD is improved with the ability to open a preview or download the file (image,video or text) directly into the app and a lot of new features
  • A new embed method for external website will embed the entire post and not only the image/video content inside the post.
  • GeoIP access and visibility for contents is updated with new features
  • We have improved the WebRTC for Recording Live Streaming with the MYETV platform; now the recorded live streaming can be published instantly after the end of the recording and supports many cameras and also a screen recorder (to record what happens in the screen).
  • A new UI (User Interfaces) has been implemented to make the platform more user-friendly
  • APP UPDATES (at https://downloadapp.myetv.tv):
      • The app for Microsoft devices it’s updated, also in the Microsoft Store, to the version 12.x.x and bring to us one of the best update ever for Windows11 and Windows10; it can be downloded from the Microsoft Store and also with the Edge browser or any other compatible browser by visiting the homepage of the platform and press on the button called “install app”; incredibly it works on many devices, even outside of Microsoft (like IOS), speaking in the future there may also be a version of the same app that can also be installed even for Quest2.
      • The app for Google Android mobile devices is updated with a major code improvements and a lot of improved features that make one of the best upgrade ever for this app ever; the fullscreen is deprecated and the title bar is customized with colors, the pull to refresh is improved and navigation controls are improved, the qrcode scanner and the device association login-[Login]: [an act of logging in to a computer, database, website or system] are improved.
      • We have a new entry in television apps, i’m talking about the app for LG Electronics devices or devices with the WebOS operating system; this app is in the official LG Content Store and is able to work for all supported devices from webOS 5.0 and up and is active in around 260 countries.
      • The app for FireTV devices is updated in the Amazon App Store with a new UI and a new UX and some major code improvements; the left and the right menu now can be opened with a simple touch (left or right) on the remote control.
      • The app for FireOS devices is updated in the Amazon App Store with some minor design updates and some major code improvements that bring more security and updated sdks; this app is dedicated to the mobile devices with the FireOS operating system; this app can be installed also on Windows11 (as .apk for Linux sub-system) with the Amazon App Store for Windows.
  • MYAPPS-[MYAPPS]: [applications that the owners of the networks can build within them to add additional functionality to the content or to the entire network] UPDATES:
      • Advertising MYAPP-[MYAPPS]: [applications that the owners of the networks can build within them to add additional functionality to the content or to the entire network] (Advertisers): this MYAPP is improved with new features; we’ve made a new place for advertising at https://store.myetv.tv/ads/ this place is still under construction and will be ready for the 1st July 2023
      • Advertising MYAPP (Publishers): this MYAPP is imporved with new features (coming soon); we’ve made a new place for advertising at https://store.myetv.tv/ads/ this place is still under construction and will be ready for the 1st July 2023
      • Translator MYAPP: removed the character limit of 2500 chars (now without any limits), implemented the auto-detect language to translate, improved the translations with more than 25 languages, translations cache will be deleted after the owner edit the content
      • The Calendar MYAPP is updated with new design and the possibility to add or restrict with privacy controls any event/date for the owned network of content (add and restrict events coming soon)
      • The VOX+ (Messenger) MYAPP is updated with the possibility to add the comments window under every contents or only in some selected content of the content owner-[Content Owner]: [the owner(s) of a content (usually includes all owners of the network that shared it)]; plus are added mor eoptions in the edit MYAPP page

      • From now the owner can select the visibility options of the MYAPPS, separately from the content or network options, the options are: public, only logged users (only the logged users can view it), only followers (only the followers can view it), private (only the owners can view it).
  • Added the automatic offline-mode with service workers for modern browsers
  • Improved the Peer-To-Peer network-[Peer-To-Peer Network]: [is a network made up of many p2p keys that can communicate with each other held together by a central system that can control them] with the offline-mode a feature that will try to reconnect if connection is lost (changing the icon)
  • The Terms of Services are updated with two new points: the peer-[P2P Peer]: [is a term used to refer to a user who has already been assigned a P2P key inside the peer-to-peer network] to peer network and the firenet defense chapters

The 15th anniversary is an important date, for this reason I want to summarize all the anniversaries of the past years to make you understand that we are not joking:

All the improvements made from today are in beta-testing and until the end of this month, and for the future 90 days, they will receive further updates that could improve their functionality even more; we will work every day to arrive until July 1, 2023 with the maximum of the functions already activated and usable. For major improvements we will write new posts on this blog to inform you of the work done. Some improvements, however, such as the surprise theme are still to be implemented and will be active no later than the month of July, 2023.
