This is not an April fool. As always the first quarter of the year, in April, we develop news and new features for MYETV and for the entire platform-[Platform]: [the the set of the main domain and all the subdomain of a particular website; also the computer architecture and equipment using a particular operating system]; our main investors expect great news in this period of the year as the first four-year period must bring many new things so as to be able to work on perfecting them for the rest of the year; and as usual we do not disappoint expectations, bringing lots of news and new features. Every year we propose a plan to be able to continue our work throughout the year and July 1, 2023 marks 15 years since the creation of the MYETV platform. Here I list all the news and new features we are working on or that have already been implemented in the platform:
ATTENTION: From Monday 10 April 2023 to the start of May 2023 due to a move of the current infrastructure to fully open source facilities on another DNS/NameServices, there may be service disruptions in the coming days/weeks for some or all countries where MYETV is online; these disruptions may “cascade” across the various regions of the World. We apologize for the inconvenience and invite you to use the platform with caution, we will temporarily disable the post of new contents-[Contents]: [every content intended as text, images, audio or video] when it will be necessary. If that should happen we will restore all the services as soon as possible. This blog is currently completely moved to the new infrastructure with success. From the 20/04/2023 the sharing and/or upload-[Upload]: [the action by a owners of the network of sending an image or audio or video file (named as content) from the device] sections are re-enabled.
Welcome Linux !!! The platform is now 100% open source thanks to a Linux Debian distribution of the most open source operating system of the World. The works are still in progress but all the platform is vcurrently under the new operating system.
- Important changes: content networks that were previously accessible via “https://www.myetv.tv/name/” or “https://www.myetv.tv/mywall/name/” will now only be accessible via a single unified link “https://www.myetv.tv/network/name/“
- Important changes: link of contents are now named with alpha-numerical charaters and less long than before thanks to a custom algorithm that wil short the final URL
- New UI and UX for all the platform with new menus, new features and a lot of changes; these updates are for the applications for mobile and televisions and also for the website at myetv.tv with a new timeline menu and new side menus with a lot of new features.
- New versions of the applications:
- In the homepage in the left menu there are more options to control the timeline (order, update the page ecc)
- In the right menu there are options to move across different features and/or to return to the homepage
- New players controls in the play page, myrc page and instantplay page everything at the right menu
- New applications for tv devices with an improved start and a new default theme (dark)
- New MYAPP called “Advertising (advertisers)” that let the network-[Network of Contents]: [is the channel in which owners can post their content and the audience can see the contents posted by the owners] to publish ads campaign on the same network (free) or in any other networks (with a subscription to a special account-[Special Accounts]: [an account with elevated privileges and/or access to special sections]), The ads must comes from any contents, of the same network, previously published in the platform. This MYAPP is in beta-testing for everyone and will be improved in the next months.
- Coming soon: Improved the MYAPP-[MYAPPS]: [applications that the owners of the networks can build within them to add additional functionality to the content or to the entire network] “Advertising (publisers)” with some new features regarding the in-content-[Contents]: [every content intended as text, images, audio or video] advertising and the revenue
- The MYAPP album/series is improved with new options and features
- The MYCLOUD is improved and upload will be directly stored in MYCLOUD with the power of the chunk uploads (more than 4gb)
- The stattistics in the map sections are improved and now they are more precise than before
- Improved the page of SPECIAL ACCOUNT with new options and features, like the possibility to view the current account-[Account]: [an Account contains the personal information that is assigned to those who register and access with email and password] limit
- Coming soon: in the next weeks we will make an update to improve the privacy system; the privacy of the contents can be set on a time basis and then automatically changed, within the chosen period of time.
- New backup time (one every a week and not more one every day)
- Improved moderator features and data vault procedures for protection of the systems
- Created emergency safety procedure book for the staff

This year will be very challenging for all of us and it will be a year made up of choices that can affect our future; we would like to be able to be more independent and certainly to be more self-sustainable both in terms of moderation and in terms of financial sustainability. For this reason these months will be essential to achieve the various goals we have set ourselves; there are many of us and all with different thoughts and personalities, some would like to do something more and others would like to have an ever-improving platform. We cannot guarantee 100% perfection but we can certainly have fun and entertain everyone and this is certainly one of the objectives set.
As i said before, the 1st July of 2023 will be 15 years of MYETV so all these new features will be in beta testing and we will update and improve all these features in the 3 months ahead; we are already doing a great job to implement them and we will take another step forward to perfect them, making them accessible and usable by all.
