The search engine of MYETV is one of the core features of the entire website; you can search and find every type of content with a few clicks, digits or gestures. There are several ways to search and you can dinamically change with respective buttons at the left:
- MYETV Fast Search: The default search engine at https://www.myetv.tv or https://www.myetv.tv/?CallAction=fastsearch
- Instant Play Page: The search engine at this url https://www.myetv.tv/?CallAction=instantplay or hashtag.myetv.tv
- MYRC Page: The search engine at this url https://www.myetv.tv/?CallAction=myrc or at.myetv.tv
- MAP: The search engine for geographic maps at this url map.myet.tv
MYETV’s Search Engine
The default search engine is an interactive real-time full-search application with commands and features:
- Fast Search (the default search engine in the homepage of MYETV)
- Fast Search in “Network of Content“ (where “Network of Content” is the name of the Network that you are visiting)
- Instant Play (from the 2015 accessible trough the # (hash) character before the term to search)
- MyRC (accessible trough the @ (at) character before the term to search)
- MAP (accessible trough the / (slash) character before the country, city, address, place or geographica coordinates to search)

Fast Search
The search page is at https://www.myetv.tv/?CallAction=fastsearch and in every page of MYETV as “Fast Search” and is accessible to anyone, also with advanced search. The fast search will find any contents from the title or tags inside https://www.myetv.tv or inside the selected network of contents; also MYAPPS results will be show by searching from the title of the MYAPPS that have activated the position “search engine & myrc”.
Instant Play
The Instant Play search engine is located at https://www.myetv.tv/?CallAction=instantplay and in every page of MYETV as “Instant Play (#)” and is accessible to anyone by type the hashtag (#) before the terms of the search. An instant playlist of contents for that hashtag will be showed.
MYRC
The MYRC search engine (or MMTV) is located at https://www.myetv.tv/?CallAction=myrc (or https://messenger.myetv.tv) and in every page as “MYRC (@)” and is accessible to anyone by type the at (@) before the terms of the search, usually numbers. It connects networks of contents and TV networks (MYAPP) with their numbers chosen by the owners of the networks.
MAP
The MAP applications is located at https://map.myetv.tv (with country filter features for contents) and are reachable inside https://www.myetv.tv by typing the slash symbol (/) before any place on the World in any languages of the World; word to search can be a place, an address, a city, a country or a precise latitude and longitude coordinates separated by a comma, a map of the world will be show indicating the exact point of that place.
MAP
The MAP applications is located at https://map.myetv.tv (with country filter features for contents) and are reachable inside https://www.myetv.tv by typing the slash symbol (/) before any place on the World in any languages of the World; word to search can be a place, an address, a city, a country or a precise latitude and longitude coordinates separated by a comma, a map of the world will be show indicating the exact point of that place.
Toggle Search Engine
You can show or hide the search engine textbox using the appropriate button titled “Search Engine”; this choice will be remembered with a technical cookie which will be saved within 30 days of the last modification. If 30 days pass without receiving any changes, the cookie will be automatically deleted and the functionality will behave as if this cookie did not exist; if you delete cookies manually the functionality will behave as if this cookie never existed.
Advanced Search
The “Advanced Search” option let you filter the search results with the params that you choose; you can filter all the search results, for example, for languages or category. Logged users can filter the search results by friendlist/following and many more options. The exclusive “Time Traveller” feature, in the advanced search section, gives to the logged users the ability to go back in time to see how the entire platform was in a specify date/time. Login to have more options in the advanced search.
Geolanguage, GeoIP and GeoVisibility
The contents posted with the geolanguage feature will be always visible in the search engine only for the language selected for the entrie platform (the language selected for the website), for every locations, and will be always accessible with a direct link from everyone; the contents with the geoip access feature activated will be shown in searches but will not be accessible if you are in different country of these selected by the owner of the content (an error page will be shown if you try to access it), not available also from direct link; the contents with the geoip visibility feature activated will not be shown in searches if you are in different country of these selected by the owner of the content, but will be still available with a direct link. Geolanguage, Geoip and Geovisibility could be activated one by one or together, in bas eof the preferences of the owner of the content shared.
Auto-Complete feature
The autocomplete feature will suggest some terms every time you press a button on the search engine; the term that most closely resembles the searched word (within a difference of two letters) will be colored with a blue background, while all the others will have a yellow background. So if you search for the word “test” it is likely that the words “test” and/or “best” will be highlighted in blue.
Privacy
The entire search engine are builded to respect the privacy of the contents or the network; the information are encrypted and the results respect the privacy options set by the owner of the content or the network of contents. The “Data Protection” section for the search engine, to be able to choose which data is shared when using the search engine, is accessible at the top-left menu at this option “Security and Privacy – Data Protection”.
Encryption
The search engine store all informations on its usage with a proprietary cache mechanism encrypted with the AES-256 encryption, and other modern encryption techniques, this ensures more privacy and an improved performances for every users who use the MYETV platform; this encryption works in every country of the world.
