The 2025 was a particular year in which we revolutionized the updates to the platform- [Platform: the set of the main domain and all the subdomain of a particular website; also the computer architecture and equipment using a particular operating system] - . At the beginning of the year, everything was very calm, we strengthened new partnerships, we took some time to recharge; from the celebrations of the 17th anniversary onwards, we have released a lot of updates, new features and completely new open source codes. You can say that we have revolutionized part of MYETV platform with open source functionalities developed internally by us. At the end, it was a fantastic year and we want to continue like this improving existing functionalities and adding new ones. As always, we do a recap of all the updates of the year to get a point on the new functionalities and those that will come in the coming months.
At January 2025 we anounced the full speed with performance and security granted by Cloudflare and confirmed the renewal until 2030; in fact Cloudflare is with us from the 2013 but at January 2025 we have activated the full feature for our plan including security and performance in all the World. In February 2025 we have take some time to see where we are and to know where we want to go, hard times are hard times and we must learn from them; then we have rebrand some logo of some services of MYETV with new logos especially for the store, this blog and others while remain the MYETV‘s logo trtademarked. At March 2025 we have announced the 10 years of the registered trademark logo of MYETV so at April 2025 we have renewed it for another 10 years untill 2035. In April 2025 we have started experimenting something new like the new cover images for the network of contents, and we take some times to explain frontline images for network of contents, another good experiment is the new image classification script with Cloudflare AI the first experiment with AI inside MYETV later we will build our own artificial intelligence, in the middle of April we have enhanced the MYCLOUD security with tokens and folders lock ready for the next big update in the coming months, and lastly but most important we started to encoding new video contents with new codecs like AV1 and vp9 for the maximum performances also in 2k and 4k new formats. In May 2025 a new feature comes inside MYETV and is the possibility to create blogs inside the networks improving the network- [Network of Contents: is the channel in which owners can post their content and the audience can see the contents posted by the owners] - features still in beta testing, the we have announced the using of a new z-standard compression algorithm for web pages improving the performance of over 60% of the entire platform, and at the end of May we have added a new feature for privacy functions called time-privacy to setup a content- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - to chage it’s privacy options by date/time. On June 2025 we have started to think about the 17 anniversary of MYETV and started to roll out a lot of updates and new features we first focused on security updates by changed the way we encrypt personal data with AES-GCM a more robust encryption- [Encryption: to change electronic information or signals into a secret code (= system of letters, numbers, or symbols) that people cannot understand or use on normal equipment] - algorithm then we have updated one of the most important security features of the year by definetly changed the way to hash password inside the platform from bcrypt to the new argon2id algorithm ensuring password are stored safe also for the future purposes, we then redefine a new content scraping policy to ensure shared contents- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - from third party sites are always fresh, we have presented a new platform ready for the 17 anniversary of MYETV: the store ads platform to exchange ads inside the MYETV platform it is a brand new platform to earn or spend MYCOINS with ads to show inside MYETV, we have also changed the way we send weekly summary emails to registered users by improving the sending algorithm, we have also take some time to add a new extension for tipping network with MYCOINS by donating MYCOINS to network of contents- [Network of Contents: is the channel in which owners can post their content and the audience can see the contents posted by the owners] - or to contents, then we have improved the homepage of MYETV with more contents to show from 10 (old) to 20 (new) contents for every timelines by default, a new update to the MYCOINS extend the digital wallet also to the public networks of contents before of that update only available to private accounts, then again we have improved the MYCLOUD with new storage, permissions and limits. July 2025 comes and we wish everyone a good 17° anniversary of MYETV with a renewed store design, translations and new features. August 2025 was holiday time and time to recharge energy so we just take some time to explain the work done with translations also presenting a new plugin for wordpress, the works to do next with artificial intelligence and the work done with all the platform. From September 2025 we have taken updates seriously by start adding a brand new platform for social networking that is able to send custom post on a lot of external social networks around the web, the we have also presented the brand new platform for artificial intelligence on MYETV called MYAI a new chat bot capable to reply to every question about the MYETV platform. In October 2025 another brand new feature we have presented the new MYETV Video Player Open Source a completely new audio/video player for the MYETV platform and for everyone with open source code on Github and a complete plugin system to customize the player and improve it with new features, at the end of the month we had also the time to update the entire security of the account of MYETV by improving security checks; in November 2025 we’ve made an update to the search engine by improving the results with a full-text search by relevance with the name of the contents and letting users decide the order of the search, then we have update all the native applications- [Native Applications: the applications available for any operating system (eg. Microsoft, Android, FireOs) downloadable and installable] - for mobile and tv devices and we have announced the pubblication of the source code of the My WebView App for Android on Github, later we have developer and presented the new extension called My PHP Syntax Highlighter for the brand new IDE Visual Studio 2026; coming to December 2025 we have improved and presented another brand new feature for the MYETV platform the new MYCLOUD is developed with a new My File Manager Open Source with the code published completely on Github and a lot of new features like new UX new plugins and module for edit text,images or videos, then we have presented one of the most awaited feature a new system to sync web app and native apps with the p2p key- [Peer-To-Peer Key: it is a key assigned by the central system to the user and can identify him within the same system] - to watch the same content on different devices in the same time, with the last post Winter Update we trying to resume the most exciting brand new features of the Winter 2025.
A Look Ahead: The Foundation for 2026
As we close the chapter on 2025, it is clear that this year wasn’t just about “updates” it was about restructuring the very DNA of MYETV. When we look back at the roadmap we traveled, from the heavy lifting of backend encryption changes to the visible polish of our open source video player, every single line of code was written with one goal: sustainability.
We have spent the last twelve months building a fortress. By integrating Cloudflare’s cutting-edge performance and security, shifting to robust encryption standards like Argon2id, and rewriting core components like the File Manager and Video Player as open-source projects, we haven’t just patched the platform; we have prepared it for the next decade. The “Winter Update” wasn’t just a feature drop; it was the proof of concept that our new architecture is stable, scalable, and ready for whatever the future of the web throws at us.
So, what does 2026 hold?
If 2025 was the year of Revolution, 2026 will be the year of Evolution. We are now sitting on a powerful engine the new MYAI, the decentralized potential of our P2P- [Peer-To-Peer Network: is a network made up of many p2p keys that can communicate with each other held together by a central system that can control them] - sync features, and a fully customizable plugin ecosystem. In the coming year, we aim to push the boundaries of how content is not just consumed, but interacted with. We plan to deepen the integration of artificial intelligence to help creators manage their networks more intuitively, and we will continue to champion the open-source philosophy that allowed us to grow so much this year. We want to see developers use our player, fork our file manager, and contribute to an ecosystem that belongs to everyone.
We also haven’t forgotten the community aspect. The introduction of MYCOINS in public networks and the new tipping systems were just the start. We want to empower creators to build real, sustainable economies within their networks, giving value back to the people who make MYETV what it is.
Finally, I want to thank every single user, developer, and partner who stuck with us through the hard times and celebrated with us during our 17th anniversary in June. Your feedback, your bug reports, and your content are the fuel that keeps this engine running.
