We are already working in anticipation of the 17th anniversary of MYETV on July 1, 2025 and in the next days we are implementing some new features that will be made available in beta testing for the next 3 months during which it will be significantly improved every day. Today we are presenting the new Blog feature for networks and timelines. Public networks and accounts have the ability to filter content- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - with only text, through the feature called “blog”, and network owners- [Network Owner: the owner(s) of the referenced network of contents (or Network)] - will be able to write posts of 10,000 characters each. It will be possible to insert, in addition to text, also rich media (images or audio or video) embedded via url and you will also be able to use all our advanced controls for sharing content. The way you interact with text content will change, it will be available only on the homepage of the content network- [Network of Contents: is the channel in which owners can post their content and the audience can see the contents posted by the owners] - that posted it and through the specific “Blog” timeline and will be ordered from the most recent (at the top) to the least recent (at the bottom); text content can also be associated with all available extensions such as translations or text comments. Over time we will try to update the functionality of text content also through hashtags and tags towards other content networks to be able to customize your text or associate it with some content already present. Obviously, text content also respects the limits imposed by the accounts (daily and general) and can also be scheduled over time through our exclusive calendar functionality available for all networks.
New features for timelines
This new blog feature will add an additional timeline to content networks and will separate text posts from audio/video and shared content; with text posts it will still be possible to share external content through links and embeds. All text content (even those already present) will then be moved to the “Blog” section of the timeline and will be visible only through the homepage of the network- [Network of Contents: is the channel in which owners can post their content and the audience can see the contents posted by the owners] - that created them. We firmly believe that this will give an extra boost to the customization of content networks and the freedom to write what you think as well as the curiosity to be able to read something from the owners of your favorite network, thus stimulating even more traffic in content networks.
Writing modes and privacy controls
The text contents- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - will be saved encrypted as well as any description of the contents shared on MYETV and will benefit from the formula “as is” that is, they cannot be modified or retouched except by those who have the authorization to do so; however, they may be subject to moderator controls and/or may be reported for control. It will be possible to insert new text contents through the exclusive WYSIWYG found on the content insertion page, furthermore a link to open it will also be placed at the top of the blog homepage; all the various controls for the privacy of the contents (such as geoip, geolanguage or accessibility or visibility) will be available for free, as always, and it will also be possible to associate with the text contents all the various extensions that we make available for the networks and accounts. You can also share existing content via URL to add personal comments or simple personalized text, in the form of a link or by embedding the content within the text post.
Conclusions
This new feature will be in beta-testing for the next few months and additional features may be integrated; we will add new features regarding this feature to the text of this post as we integrate them.
Terms of services
- Textual content- [Textual Content: it is text-only content shared by a network] - cannot exceed 10,000 characters for each content (including rich media)
- Textual content can be written through a WYSIWYG and HTML code can be implemented in addition to rich-media or other. It will not be possible to insert server-side code or javascript code, if present they will be cleaned at the time of publication.
- Textual contents- [Textual Content: it is text-only content shared by a network] - will be saved encrypted but may still be subject to moderation and must comply with the rules imposed on all content on MYETV
- Textual content must contain readable, non-manually encrypted words and phrases; breaking this rule may result in permanent deletion of the content and possible sanctions for the account- [Account: an Account contains the personal information that is assigned to those who register and access with email and password] - that wrote it
- Textual contents will be subject to the same limits as content, depending on the special account used
- The text content will be in beta-testing for the next few months and the content of this post and its functionality may change.
