Boo! It’s that time of the year, again!!! Halloween week is upon us and we have tons of updates and new features to share for MYETV! As always in even years, we will update the applications for the various devices with some new features and we will update the entire MYETV platform- [Platform: the set of the main domain and all the subdomain of a particular website; also the computer architecture and equipment using a particular operating system] - with new features. This year Jack’o’Lantern will be trick-or-treating and giving away some gift to the lucky ones, while playing tricks on the less fortunate ones. This is your chance to win MYCOINS for your account- [Account: an Account contains the personal information that is assigned to those who register and access with email and password] - , every day you can participate in the contests offered for a whole week and win up to 100 MYCOINS. This year we will also sharing a list of updates and new features that will be in beta testing until Christmas 2024 where we will be doing another weeks full of updates.
- The entire platform will be decorated for the Halloween event, this also includes changing between one or more themes during the Halloween weeks from the end of this week till the start of November
- The new Direct Message platform is out of the test including the ability to send private and public messages between two networks with links, images, media and emoji. The messages are crypted with a new end-to-end system and with a new reporting system based on a secure identification that use sha512; encryption- [Encryption: to change electronic information or signals into a secret code (= system of letters, numbers, or symbols) that people cannot understand or use on normal equipment] - is used with territorial restriction (users in country that cannot use encryption for laws can’t use the platform).
- Loading screen for contents- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - is improved with a new black screen and loading text translated in over 20 languages
- Preview has been added to the advertising platform on store.myetv.tv and a new category filter has been added
- A new advertising mode has been added that allows ads to be displayed before the content- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - being played or when in pause
- We are building the new Magic Remote Control a customizable remote control through json files placed in your MYCLOUD; it will be possible to connect to the virtual remote control a list of channels or personalized links to be reached quickly from any device.
- We have introduced a new age-based parental control platform that can be managed by an adult who takes responsibility for the actions of that account; if no adult takes this responsibility, some features of the platform are automatically disabled for underage users.
- We have increased the age at which a user can post content on MYETV to 18 years old; in order to post, it is necessary to specify your date of birth and if the age calculation does not exceed the 18 years, it is not possible to insert content.
- We have addedd a checkbox to indicate if you are a professional journalist, in which case if you want to insert new content you must ask for authorization from your editor.
- Customizable roles are here: you can now add your own role to your public network- [Network of Contents: is the channel in which owners can post their content and the audience can see the contents posted by the owners] - in addition to the fourth default roles (administrator, editor, moderator, content provider); it will be possible to add a customizable role with a customizable permissions (for example manage private or public messages) and assign it to a user
- The list of detailed users who have seen a certain content has been added; this list is only available to content network- [Network of Contents: is the channel in which owners can post their content and the audience can see the contents posted by the owners] - owners
- Users can now decide whether or not to display the “seen … times” text under the content; to do so, you can press directly on that text or change the settings from the “data protection” option in the menu
- The list of detailed users who have seen a certain network homepage has been added; this list is only available to network owners- [Network Owner: the owner(s) of the referenced network of contents (or Network)] -
- The procedure for sending emails has been changed and they are now translated and sent in the language specified by the user during registration
- Client-side security via access- [Access the simple access to a website as a visitor] - tokens has been significantly improved
- Native applications- [Native Applications: the applications available for any operating system (eg. Microsoft, Android, FireOs) downloadable and installable] - for different devices are updated with new features:
- Application for AndroidTV and FireTV and WebOS: a new version with UIX updates will be pubblished soon
- Application for Android Mobile devices: a new version with updates of features will be pubblished soon
- Application for Microsoft Windows: a new version with UIX updates will be pubblished soon
- Added the new DSA (Digital Service Act) to the terms of services of MYETV
- We will update the terms of service and the privacy policy of MYETV
