The Digital Services Act is an European regulation adopted in 2022 that addresses illegal content- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - , transparent advertising and disinformation; it updates the Electronic Commerce Directive 2000 in EU law, and was proposed alongside the Digital Markets Act (DMA).
The D.S.A. applies to online platforms and intermediaries such as social networks, marketplaces and app stores. Key requirements include disclosing to regulators how their algorithms work, providing users with explanations for content moderation decisions, and implementing stricter controls on targeted advertising and appropriate parental control for tv/video platforms.
Specific reporting platform- [Platform: the set of the main domain and all the subdomain of a particular website; also the computer architecture and equipment using a particular operating system] - for illegal contents- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] -
MYETV uses it’s proprietary platform at https://support.myetv.tv to collect reports on illegal content; this content may be related to entire networks, related to the content itself, or related to public or private direct messages. The platform provides for the use of a public reporting algorithm (without the obligation to register) and the use of a team of moderators in contact with the platform administrators who have the ability to instantly obscure illegal audio-visual content; the same platform allows you to report explicit content for adults only, or with other categories, which can also be moderated instantly. The platform is publicly accessible and the algorithms allow you to manage moderation and the responses of the moderator team in real time, even via email or via a ticket-id that can be consulted at any time.
Parental control platform for people under 18 years of age
MYETV is committed to ensuring that all members of the public use its platform correctly, preventing the registration of an account- [Account: an Account contains the personal information that is assigned to those who register and access with email and password] - by minors under 12 years of age and also disabling some features of the platform for minors under 18 years of age. In order to unlock the various sharing features of the platform, people are required to enter their date of birth, which will be saved privately and in a way that allows the recognition of the user’s age. It is also possible for an adult to enable the use of the platform for minors, using a security pin to unlock various features and specifying that the account is also used by a person under 18 years of age; the security pin can be deactivated and reactivated only by those who know it. We also carry out automatic checks on the platform using a scanning tool called CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material).
Advertising Transparency
MYETV is committed to presenting transparent advertising content, through its proprietary platform at https://store.myetv.tv/ads by inserting the wording “content sponsored by…” in any paid ad and recording the visits and clicks of any ad and displaying it transparently to the person who placed the ad. Ads can also be filtered based on various factors that can be more precise in the accounts registered on the platform (for example, advertising content with sensitive material will be displayed only for registered users over 18 years of age); the same advertising content can be proposed directly to the networks which can receive a percentage of the total earnings of the same ads. Advertising content must comply with very specific rules and can be reported in real time with the same content moderation platform. Our advertising content does not include technologies such as cookies or similar tracers by default; this means that your preferences remain only and exclusively on the MYETV platform.
