LiveStreaming and Private Messaging #features #newwebsite

This isn’t a new chapter of the #codechange but just some little considerations about new features and how they will be implemented in the new website; i never talked yet about live streaming but it’s time to make some considerations, now i have a chance in view of the forthcoming updates of search engines and the entire website to talk about that. There is a blog post regarding live streaming here and it’s dated 06/2013 in facts we’ve developed, in the past years explorertv.com website (now offline) and with the help of a romanian developer, a service builded with Red5 Media Server (I personally followed and supported the Red5 project for a long time and from the beginning of development) the service builded in the explorertv.com platform was a browser oriented project to made one-to-one or one-to-many Multicast_streamstreaming connections, we’ve tried also peer-to-peer connections; now I’ll take a little freedom in saying that it was expensive in terms of bandwidth and money and i do not know if we can rebuild something like that, just in one (or a few of) server; also, today we have a lot of new devices and many formats… So? What to expect for live streaming with the new website is really simple: we are developing the new app builder and users can develop their livestreaming app and communicate with their own external servers with javascript (api) or scripting languages and build a live streaming one-to-many app; the new app builder let you upload, change and setup your application and files directly in your personal folder of your account and you can upload any kind of file and you have a framework to securely interact with our servers and databases. pmp_dfgefgwergtwergtThe evolution of communication, in this time, also supposes the encryption of the informations and do not forget about the security of the stored informations; we’ve talked about this arguments and the private messaging platform in this past blog post but no one ever told you that is what we will do with the new code version of the website: crypting, insted of deleting, private messages and chat communications assures the right privacy for you and others involved in the conversation, and others if you share your account with other people, and noone can reverse the encryption unless they have the right key (changed for every message). Thats way the private message platform with the one-to-one live streaming connections begins to take shape and you can imagine how cool could be with our new search engines. The private messaging platform will be shaked with one of our three search engines and will expose a nice way to identify and to reach people registered and with this feature activated. That is not enough. Because we are studying another way to encode and rebroadcast your contents (videos or audio) from every devices as fast as you imagine with some new upload and encoding new features; the rebroadcast of the content will be fast as a live streaming service. The inline upload and live encoding of the content will be a very cool and fun feature to try and develop.

Registered or not? This is a problem.

As you know, we are worldwide and we have a lot of responsibility regarding our world; we’ve encountered some problems when opening the website to anonymous users (not registered users). In facts, is what i would do; so, with the codechange, i tried to study a way to let everyone interact with more and more features and aspect of the website, for example the private messaging platform. Letting everyone reach and contact in a secure way their people (if you are registered or not is not important) is what i would. It’s a starting point; and we can think bigger if my idea will have success :)

With the completely new code and the new website we can develop and improve in a lot of new ways and new devices all the features of myetv. Try to use your imagination for what we can do and what are our potentially and stay tuned because in the next days we will release the date of the transition in the new website!

Stay tuned, folks!!! Have a nice day.
