With the term “PlayTime” we mean the horizontal start of any timeline, originally designed vertically; this means that any timeline seen by any user can be executed by automatically starting one content- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - at a time and being able to navigate between contents- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - by going back and forth horizontally. We’ve literally turned a vertical timeline into a series of horizontal content, automatically running one after the other.
PlayTime allows you to automatically start the contents of any timeline, just as if you were watching a television channel; it is a series of simulated streaming contents and it is also possible to go forward or backward between the contents. This feature is already active and is being tested only for native apps designed for TV (FireTV, WebOS, AndroidTV) but will soon be brought to all platforms, including those for web browsers. The button to access- [Access the simple access to a website as a visitor] - this feature is located at the top of each timeline where you can access this feature.
Once you press that button the contents will automatically start one after the other and it will be possible to go back and forth between the contents, it will also be possible to go back to the chosen timeline; more features will be added over time. When viewing content from this feature, it will still be counted as views but the “recently viewed” timeline will not be changed. It will also be possible to access this functionality from direct links. You can choose which timeline to start automatically with this feature, the recently viewed timeline, the new content timeline, the most viewed content timeline, and so on… Even those derived from the search engine- [Search Engine: is the application that deals with the search for content, networks or anything else on the platform] - .
As a further update we are planning to add the “Watch Together” functionality which will be activated a few days after the full launch across the entire PlayTime platform- [Platform: the set of the main domain and all the subdomain of a particular website; also the computer architecture and equipment using a particular operating system] - . For more information on this feature, read here: https://blog.myetv.tv/2023/10/13/watch-the-playtime-together-with-more-people/
This feature is part of the next update package for MYETV and will be tested in these weeks and new options will be added to improve it; a link will also be added in the main menu to access the functionality more easily via the menu.
I hope you start to love this feature, especially for native TV apps this is a milestone that will revolutionize the way you watch MYETV.
