The New Subscriptions Center & Security Update

We have recently updated all the security part of the website; more specifically, the entire class code structure of our open soruce authentication classes (#security) has been changed from static method to object-oriented. The benefits of this change are surely the performance of the entire site, as static methods consume much more memory resources on the machine. There is still a bit to fix but the big one has been done and everything is now ready for authentication to two factors that we will activate in the near future. All the services are now online and stable with the latest version of the code.

We have recently added a new feature called “Subscriptions Centre” to follow or unfollow the walls; wen you press the “FOLLOW on MYETV” button, this is the initial look and feel (lloks may change in the future):

When you are a follower- [Follower: a follower refers to a person who subscribes to your account or network in order to receive your updates] - you can press the “YOU FOLLOWED” button and you will notice some changes:

You can now stop or start the notifications services for this specific wall by pressing the checkbox called “NOTIFICATIONS“, you still be a follower and still access- [Access the simple access to a website as a visitor] - to the contents- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - only for followers- [Follower: a follower refers to a person who subscribes to your account or network in order to receive your updates] - ; if you unfollow the wall, with the button at the bottom called “UNFOLLOW“, you cannot access more at the contents only for followers of that wall and you don’t reveice more notifications.

The notifications services will be very usefull in a near future to send notifications from the wall to all the followers for some specific events or when a wall add a new content- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - . This type of notifications actually include “MYETV notifications” and “email notifications”.

For some of you experiencing some issues in the past week, we apologize for the little inconvenience; we was working for making our community better every days.

Thank you for reading. Have a nice day, folks!
