Today, we are beyond thrilled to announce the official launch of the MYETV Developer API and the brand-new App Dashboard.

What Exactly is an API? (And Why Should You Care?)
In the tech world, “API” stands for Application Programming Interface. It sounds intimidating, but the concept is actually incredibly simple.
Imagine you are sitting at a table in a busy, high-end restaurant. The kitchen is the MYETV platform, it’s where all the magic happens, where videos are hosted, images are stored, and posts are served to the world. You, sitting at the table, want to order a meal (publish a new post or fetch your profile). But you can’t just walk into the kitchen and start cooking. You need a way to communicate your order to the chef.
The API is your waiter.
It takes your request, carries it securely into the kitchen, tells the system exactly what you want to do, and then brings the result right back to your table.
Until today, if you wanted to post on MYETV, you had to log into our website or app directly, you had to walk into the restaurant yourself. With our new API, other websites, apps, and software- [Program/Software: the instructions that control what a computer does; computer programs] - can now send their “waiters” to MYETV on your behalf.
This means you can now connect your MYETV account- [Account: an Account contains the personal information that is assigned to those who register and access with email and password] - to the tools you already use every day. You can automate your workflow, schedule content from third-party dashboards, and integrate your MYETV Network- [Network of Contents: is the channel in which owners can post their content and the audience can see the contents posted by the owners] - directly into your own personal websites. We have built a secure, fast, and incredibly reliable bridge between our platform and the rest of the digital world.
The Command Center: The New Developer Dashboard
To make all of this possible, we have launched a dedicated space for creators and developers: the MYETV App Dashboard.
Available right now, this dashboard is your personal command center. Whether you are a professional software engineer building a complex tool or a digital marketer setting up a simple integration, this is where your journey begins.
Here is how simple the process is:
- Create an App: You log into the dashboard and click a button to register your new application. You give it a name and a description.
- Get Your Keys: Once registered, our system generates two very important pieces of information: a Client ID and a Client Secret. Think of these as a unique passport and a highly secure password for your app.
- Connect and Authenticate: When your software wants to post on your behalf, it shows us this passport. Our system will then ask you (the human): “Hey, this app wants to post to your Network. Do you allow this?” Once you say yes, the app receives an Access- [Access the simple access to a website as a visitor] - Token, a temporary, highly secure key that lets it do exactly what you permitted, and nothing more.
You remain in complete control. Through your MYETV settings, you can see exactly which apps have access to your account and you can revoke that access with a single click at any time.
Free to Use, Built to Last: Understanding Limits and Safety
Now, let’s talk about everyone’s favorite topic: costs.
How much does it cost to use the MYETV API? Absolutely nothing. We believe that empowering our community shouldn’t come with a premium- [Special Accounts: an account with elevated privileges and/or access to special sections] - price tag. Accessing the Developer Dashboard, generating your App Keys, and making requests to the API is 100% free of charge. We want to see what amazing things you can build, without putting financial barriers in your way.
However, to keep the platform lightning-fast and secure for millions of users, we have implemented smart Rate Limits.
Think of rate limiting like traffic lights on a busy highway. If everyone drives at once without rules, there’s a traffic jam, and the whole system slows down. Our API has built-in traffic lights. For example, it might allow a specific application to read profiles 15 times per minute, or publish 10 posts per minute. This generous allowance is more than enough for regular, automated content sharing, but it acts as a digital shield against spam bots, malicious scripts, or accidental infinite loops that could harm the platform. It keeps MYETV safe, stable, and incredibly fast.
But what about your daily posting limits? This is where things get really exciting. While the API infrastructure itself is free, the actual number of posts you can publish daily is tied to your specific MYETV User Account- [Account: an Account contains the personal information that is assigned to those who register and access with email and password] - .
As we speed toward our massive 18th Anniversary this July 2026, we are preparing to unveil a spectacular new lineup of Account Plans. These upcoming plans will dramatically expand your daily limits, storage capacities, and premium network features. We aren’t just giving you a tool and wishing you luck; we are using it ourselves! We are proud to announce that the MyETV API is already 100% functional and actively powering its first major production integration: socialmanager.myetv.tv.
If you haven’t used the social manager platform yet, you are missing out on the ultimate content-scheduling powerhouse. It allows you to manage multiple social media accounts from one single interface. And now, thanks to our new API, MYETV is fully integrated into the social manager platform as a native plugin.
