1 month after the disaster at Strasbourg: what will happen next? We have decided to make significant changes regarding the European lines; after a long time we are finally returning to our country of origin: Italy; after what happened last month we diverted the platform- [Platform: the set of the main domain and all the subdomain of a particular website; also the computer architecture and equipment using a particular operating system] - ’s lines to a data center in Mumbai, India as a temporary measure with lines offered by the major Asian carriers. In the next few days/weeks we are already working to move the platform back to Europe, we are finally ready to return to Italy thanks also to the work of the technicians of PostePay, a Poste Italiane company, of the technicians of TIM and FiberCop, the largest connection provider of Optical Fiber in Italy and Vodafone, the largest 4G LTE+ and 5G radio carrier. The internet line will be distributed initially thanks to these 3 companies and will be 100% redundant initially with Optical Fiber + 4G LTE Radio (Optical Fiber with redundancy on radio) pending further upgrades; even the electricity line supplied by one of the major Italian producers will be 100% redundant with two buffer batteries and protections against electricity overloads and earthing. The server is one of the best on the market, completely custom AMD from the processor to the motherboard (ASUS) for greater compatibility and durability and boasts 64GB of RAM and 10TB of hard disk (SATA+SSD) and is really fast with a 2.5 Gbps network- [Network of Contents: is the channel in which owners can post their content and the audience can see the contents posted by the owners] - .
The trust of a private data center
In Europe we no longer rely on third-party data centers but we have decided to make a leap in quality by proposing a completely private solution with lines completely controlled by us; this allows us to have much more security and control over the data without the possibility of prying eyes. It is a step that we have always dreamed of taking and we have finally succeeded thanks to the constant and tireless work of the technicians in this month we have managed to set up an infrastructure to be envied. Also thanks to the new Debian Linux systems, of which we contributed to the existence, the security of the operating system has never been so strong. Thanks to our Canonical Ubuntu team in India, and around the world, for bringing us one of the best operating systems ever: Noble Numbat; with the latest Linux 6.8 kernel and a lot of security improvements and a support with security updates until 2036.
Thanks for reading this; I remind you that the move operations will begin this week and therefore it will be possible that we will disable the platform for a few hours to allow the move of the DNS servers offered by Cloudflare.
Please note: the actual moving works will begin from the middle of this week until the end of the same; we advise you not to insert new scheduled content- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - and, if possible, to wait for the end of the work. When the work begins, the insertion of new contents- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - will be disabled until they are completely finished.
