The celebrations for our 18th anniversary are in full swing! Reaching this amazing milestone wouldn’t have been possible without you, our fantastic, global community. For 18 years, we have shared contents- [Contents: every content intended as text, images, audio or video] - , memories, passions, and built a platform- [Platform: the set of the main domain and all the subdomain of a particular website; also the computer architecture and equipment using a particular operating system] - where people from every corner of the planet can connect.
As part of the ongoing series of special updates rolling out for our 18th birthday, we are incredibly excited to share a fun, colorful, and interactive new feature with you all. We have completely reimagined the top of your screen: welcome to the brand-new Dynamic Holiday Logos!
Starting today, the classic MYETV logo will magically change to celebrate various holidays, cultural events, and national days depending on the time of year and where you are tuning in from. It’s our way of bringing a little piece of the world’s celebrations directly to your screen.
Way More Than Just Pictures!
While many of these celebrations will feature beautifully designed, custom-made static logos, we wanted to take the fun a step further for our anniversary.
For certain special events, the logo area won’t just be an image. It might completely transform into an interactive mini-game that you can play right on the page! For other holidays, we will be using amazing dynamic CSS decorations to bring the screen to life. Imagine logging in to find gentle snowflakes falling around the logo during the winter, glowing spooky effects for Halloween, or festive animations that react when you navigate the platform.
A Truly Localized Experience
Because our community spans the entire globe, we have built this system to be as personalized as possible. Some celebrations are global, but others will be tailored specifically to you! A festive logo might be displayed exclusively for users in a single country, spread across an entire continent, or even triggered based on the specific language you have selected on the platform. It’s all about making you feel right at home.
Celebrating Together Across Europe
We strongly believe in sharing cultures and uniting people. That is why we made a special decision for our European users: any national holiday belonging to a single European country will be extended and celebrated across the entire European continent! For example, whether it is Bastille Day in France, Koningsdag in the Netherlands, or Republic Day in Italy, the festive logo will be visible to everyone tuning in from any European nation, so we can all join in the festivities together.
